This month’s Bible Study will be focused on "Advent."
We will be discussing the significance of Advent, why it is an important part of our Christian journey, and the four specific elements that Advent encompasses (hope, love, joy, and peace). We will also have our Christmas Party this evening. More information to come!

We will journey to different homes of church members to partake in a progressive dinner whose purpose is to teach us all about ways that we can give thanks. At each home, we will perform a particular service and sing to them a song of thanksgiving. The cost of this event is free. No devotional will be given as each home is a devotional.
We will be traveling to Marion, NC to visit the infamous Linville Caverns. Cost of this event is TBA. A box lunch will be provided. More information to come, including updated times!
This month our Bible Study is on "Darkness and Light."
We will be discussing how we are to be the light in a dark world. Keep checking back for more information on this Bible Study.

Join us as we celebrate the first day of fall with a good old fashioned apple picking! We will depart from FPC at 9:00am and head to Stepp's Hillcrest Orchard in Hendersonville where we will pick our own apples! Cost of picking your own apples ranges from $3-$30 based on the amount that you pick. (Pre-picked apples are available for a slightly higher cost). But that's not all! This amazing orchard also offers corn mazes, wagon rides, apple canons, and more! Our devotional this day will be on the Fruits of the Spirit.
Aaaarg, matey! Put on ye best pirate costume and join us for pizza and a movie night where we will be watching Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Our Bible Study will be on the curse of sin and how we have been set free by the blood of The Lamb.

WELCOME BACK, O.A.S.I.S.!
Our Arrrrrgust movie is Pirates of the Caribbean. This event is absolutely free. We will start off our evening with some group games and dinner. Following the movie we will have a time of Bible Study. More information on this event will be announced later.

**The O.A.S.I.S. Youth Group will be partnering with Golden Friends on this event to help sponsor a church-wide picnic.**
We will enjoy a day of picnicking at the beautiful Lake Louise right here in Weaverville, NC. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the day!

This month our Bible Study will be focused on, "The Names of God."
We will be studying all of the various terms for God found throughout the scripture.

We will be spending the day at the Nature Center learning about God’s creation. The cost of this event is will be between $4-$8 per person. A boxed lunch will be provided. Our devotional will led by Steve Morton who has a very special connection to the WNC Nature Center!
Our May Bible Study is focused on "Prayer."
This month will be discussing why we should pray, how to pray, and the results of prayer. We will especially focus on the importance of being still.

Get ready for our very first LOCK-IN!!! Bring your sleeping bag, tent, air mattress - whatever you would like. We're turning the church into our own backyard.
This event is for both O.A.S.I.S. (Grades 4-12) and Covenant Kids (Grades K5-4). O.A.S.I.S. Youth will be spending the night, but Covenant Kids will not. Please see the schedule below.
We are so excited to announce that Andrew Shank, the RUF Campus Minister from Western Carolina University, will be joining us as the guest speaker for this event!
Our focus for this lock-in will be, “Who Are We?” It will be a focus on self-image: how we see ourselves, how God sees us, and who we are in Christ. Friday night will be a time of Worship & Bible Study where we can spend time lifting our voices to our Savior, delving into His Word, and discussing ways to apply His Word to our daily lives. On Saturday morning, we will continue in our Bible Study and then have our very first service project at the church. We hope you will be a part of this event!

Our April Bible Study is called, "Life After Death."
We will be studying the Resurrection, how it affects our daily lives, and how we are to proceed after Easter is over.

We will be traveling to the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC to attend the annual Winter Jam Concert. This year the performance line-up includes Kari Jobe, Newsong, Jordan Feliz, Skillet, and more. Ticket cost for OASIS Members is free! (Tickets are $15 for non-OASIS members with payment due on the day of the event.) We will be stopping at Subway (1527 Poinsett Hwy., Greenville) for dinner, so please bring approximately $10 for your meal.

Join us for an afternoon of bowling and Bible Study at AMF Star Lanes in Asheville! Cost of this event is $10 for OASIS Youth and $20 for all other participants. Payment is due February 18th. This price will include your shoes and unlimited bowling for two hours! Snacks will be provided.
